Question seems to be if the Dem party is going to also get it's act together in offering materialist solutions to the electorate or if we're gonna ride this neoliberal train straight into the ground.
A party is a vessel. It won't "get it's act together." It's on a movement to organize and use the party to gain power. That take a lot of time, see Rick Pearlstein's four part book series from Goldwater to Reagan, and maybe it's even harder in this fractured moment. Then again, maybe this fractious moment will speed things up, hard to say.
