CORRECTION: It is not Bastille Day
Fortunately
In my post this morning, I incorrectly wrote that today, June 14th, was Bastille Day, which, of course, is July 14th. I often get June and July confused because they begin with the same letter. I have corrected the post to reflect this mistake. Very embarrassing! It is, however, Flag Day, a holiday proposed as a signal of opposition to the traitors who attacked Fort Sumter. So, Happy Flag Day!

Hope my comment wasn’t taken as snark! As a lifelong Knicks fan (though originally from the suburbs of New Haven and having only lived in the City in the nineties), I spent a long night with family and friends celebrating their victory. So I really did wonder this morning, for a brief moment in my post celebration haze, whether I had lost time and had in fact missed her birthday and that she was just too polite to mention it! Though as a Chicagoan and lifelong Bull’s fan, I doubt she would have missed the opportunity to needle me about the real life consequences of my “misplaced” fandom.
I don’t understand how you could confuse Hera with Gaius. Now if you had confused Octavian and Gaius *that* would make sense.
